Experience
I attended the College of New Jersey to earn my bachelor's degree in math, and I was here my first taste of tutoring. I helped many students improve their understanding of math, and I realized how much I enjoyed helping others learn. I'm now finishing up a math graduate degree at Lehigh University, and I've developed teaching experience here. I have served as a TA for calculus courses, allowing me to work with students at all levels to help them understand the subject. I can tutor students from algebra through multivariable calculus, but all calculus topics are my specialty. I work alongside students and guide them, and I let them make mistakes too. This provides many opportunities to explain why one step or one conclusion is incorrect, and why something else is correct. Through repetition, students absorb this and learn to apply that knowledge on new problems. Along the way, they begin to enjoy and appreciate the subject. When I have free time, I enjoy table tennis, video games, sushi, and reading.
